In a recent interview with Bangalore Times, actress Manvita Kamath discussed her involvement in various mediums within the cinema world. She highlighted the rarity of a direct OTT release for Kannada films and her upcoming projects, including a Kannada-Marathi bilingual film and a full-fledged Kannada theatre release scheduled for later this year. Reflecting on her experience in the Kannada film industry and the support she receives from her husband and his family post-wedding, Manvita shared her perspective on the transition between big screen and OTT platforms. Emphasizing the broader reach of OTT content and the opportunities it provides, she expressed excitement about her upcoming projects - a bilingual film and a Kannada film slated for release, along with another film set for direct OTT release. Manvita also mentioned her evolving relationship with social media and the challenges of navigating public perception in the digital age.I used to avoid interviews because I didn't think I had enough to talk about. Nowadays, social media has changed how people perceive me, and I sometimes feel the need to step up my game there. It's unfortunate that what people see online is often taken as truth. Your actions outside of the screen, such as your dedication to your work and respect for your craft, may go unnoticed because you're not showcasing it for everyone to see.

I value the support of my mentors and good friends who have been there for me. My husband and his family provide me with incredible support. While my mother never wanted me to join the film industry, my husband and his family appreciate and celebrate my work. Reflecting on my career, I realize I was perhaps too trusting for a long time. However, as I grow personally and professionally, I've learned to set boundaries and not allow anyone to undermine my confidence. I have distanced myself from those who try to bring me down. I am focused on doing meaningful work and won't let negativity dampen my spirits.
